Sharon Umana is the President & CEO of the Canadian Health Care Agency. She founded the Agency under the vision and passion for Northern nursing due to the growing need to recruit Northern Nurses. The Agency Mission is to create a specialized agency to employ and place experienced, flexible, healthcare professionals to service Canada’s Aboriginal populations. She has 25 years of nursing experience, with a strong emergency and outpost nursing background. She is a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner who holds a Diploma in Nursing from George Brown College, a Baccalaureate Degree of Science in Nursing from the University of Ottawa and completed the Transition phase of the Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Toronto. Sandy Baptie is the Canadian Health Care Agency’s Senior Accounting Clerk responsible for CHCA’s Payroll and Accounting. She has 20 years of Accounting and Administrative experience, performing accounting functions including account preparation, reconciliation, and analysis of financial statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and  staff benefits. Raquel Rodriguez is the Canadian Health Care Agency’s Office Assistant, responsible for administrative office duties, providing office support to ensure efficiency and effectiveness within the Hiring and Orientation processes.  She attended Everest College completing the Medical Laboratory Assistant Diploma and has completed office administrative courses. Miriam Fisher is the Executive Assistant for the Joint Venture project in Manitoba and is the Coordinator for CHCA’s Employment Equity Program. She is responsible to assist the Director and General Manager in the  operations, and effectiveness of the Joint Venture between Pedabun 35 Nursing Inc, and Canadian Health Care Agency (CHC-A). She has 10 years of administrative and management experience in the private sector. She finished a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and a Post Degree in International Business. Anita Couto is the travel coordinator, responsible for organizing and booking travel (including air, ground transportation and hotel accommodation) for CHC-A’s Nurses to northern and remote locations across Canada. Christine Malagi is the Quality Assurance Clerk, responsible to ensure that all Nurses’ mandatory documentation are kept up to date. She coordinates educational courses for our Nurses including; ACLS, PALS, ENPC, ITLS, and NRP. Her experience includes office assistant in government and private organizations.
